Books! wooohhh! ang dami... let me share some of my fave as well... siguro it's better that i would not include nursing books na lang (although at times, i do cry while reading it [hirap magmemorize! haha!]
so let's start with Filipino books (or authors) KAWIL (III & IV) dis is actually a Filipino textbook for high school... i do love this book because it's full of short stories made by filipino authors and i believe that we do have allot of great writers here (the like of rogelio sikat, nick joaquin, amado hernandez, etc.)... by the way, my favorite short story was "Moses, Moses!" by Rogelio Sikat... if you've got nothing to do search for it and see for yourself.
ANG PABORITONG LIBRO NI HUDAS (Bob Ong)
all the books that Master Roberto wrote, thumbs up ako! what i like most is that he uses irony most of the time. isa 'to sa mga libro na habang binabasa mu ay baka napapangiti o natatawa ka lang, but then after some time, you've got nothing to do, and you've found the chance to read it all over again, you see another side of it. i remember that one time, I've realized,
"teka, bakit kaya aku natawa dun sa kwento? di kaya aku ung bobo na tinutukoy nya dun?" YOUR PAST DOES NOT DEFINE YOUR FUTURE (Bo Sanchez)
"This is not ur ordinary (Bo) Sanchez' book." This is one powerful and moving story about the author himself. I highly recommend this one because, although some of you may had the chance to read his other books, may know or heard about him (to those who didn't...he's self-acclaimed, successful businessman, founder of charitable organization, most sought-after religious preacher)... but in this book, he had revealed his inner fragility. It has introduced me to another side of him, that is full of emotions. This book will allow you to feel his sentiments, his agony, the pain of abuse, his addictions but then how he surpassed it all, would be the most surprising gift that he could offer the reader.
::: Plus, when you've got to buy his works you will be able to help others as well, because some proceeds will go to Gawad Kalinga, Anawim, etc.
Then let's go with International books/authors naman. THE FIVE PEOPLE YOU MEET IN HEAVEN (Mitch Albom)
This book is a story of a man who actually recounts his LIFE after his DEATH. In this book, Albom never miss to hit a soft spot in me. Ang pinakanagustuhan ko dito ay ung idea na
di natin kailangan intindihin o ipilit lahat ng bagay na di natin kayang unawain sa ngayon, dahil dadating ang tamang panahon para dito. Also filled with different emotions, you will be enthralled by the story as you go along. The fact that everything in this life has a reason and everyone we meet has a purpose, has made the story seemed so simple but then with its simplicity comes it's beauty.

ANGELS AND DEMONS (Dan Brown)
Do you feel the thrill with the Da Vinci Code? Had you decipher all the codes in Digital Fortress (there is one hidden code on that book)? And if you've got all it takes to foresee how Deception Point will end? Then you should not miss out this book. For me, Angels and Demons is the greatest book that Brown has ever written. Aside from the fact that this is the prequel of DVC, you'll feel your heart beating faster as the main character (Langdon) will try to solve the mystery while the clock is ticking. the sad thing about this book is that, DVC had been given more publicity and attention because of its central idea.
:::and the ambigrams are nice to be place on shirts as designs! haha!
THE ZAHIR (PAULO COELHO)
I've typed the author's name on upper case to give significance because he's actually my favorite author. I do love this book so much, because of ahmmmm...(secret na lang) haha! There was something in this book that made me cry and contemplate. Not to mention that Coelho was good in diction (choice of words! or maybe ung mga translator)... so tatamaan ka talaga! I could not compare each of his books because, each has it's own gist, and you'll get different realizations. Although you may not have the same experience as the main character on his books, you'll still be able to relate and feel the emotions (bit nostalgic while reading his books). You'll find yourself reflecting after reading as well. "The journey was as important as the destination", that's the most that I could say. Bravo!
So aun... hope you would consider some of this books when you drop by your favorite bookstore.
